Year 2004
Jessi & Becky
Jessi began age-group swimming this year.  Her first competition was in January.  Her favorite strokes are freestyle and butterfly.  By the end of the season, she had improved her lap time by over SIX seconds!

This is the latest fashion for winter swim team.
Becky poses with her teacher, Mrs. Cross.  They both wore nurse scrubs to school when they were learning about community helpers.  Becky still talks about being a neonatologist when she grows up, or a neonatal nurse.  All she knows for sure is that she wants to take care of babies that live in boxes and GIVE THEM SHOTS!
Anyone who knows Becky, knows what a HUGE Michael Waltrip fan she is.  He was even her "imaginary friend" for a few years and would go to her therapy sessions and doctor visits with her.  In June, Becky's dream came true - she got to meet Michael!!  He was SOO nice!  He gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.  He also signed one of her night splints and posed for a few pictures.  Becky even made it on the nightly news!

Jessi - 9.5 years
Becky 6.75 years

We went to a pumpkin patch to pick out our Halloween pumpkins.
Becky in her splints.  When she got casted for them, she asked the orthotician if he could make one splint blue and one splint yellow - "because those are Michael Waltrip's colors and he's my favorite race care driver".  Becky settled for blue and yellow on both splints.  She even got one of her splints signed by Michael when she met him.

Help Michael raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp!!!  Sponsor him to run in the Las Vegas Marathon in January.

Jessi is a big fan of Bobby LaBonte.  It was our lucky year this year - Bobby visited our local race track (just like Michael Waltrip did).  Jessi didn't get a personal meeting with Bobby, but she got a few things signed by him.
In July, a stray cat had five kittens in the ditch next to our house - three boys and two girls.  The girls had a lot of fun (and Mom did, too) watch the kittens grow and playing with them.  When they were old enough to leave their mother, the two girls went to a new home, and we officially adopted the three boys.  They sure are naughty, but have brought A LOT of joy to our household!!!
Jessi was also a flying monkey.  She loved making the monkey noises and attacking the Scarecrow.
June was also a BIG month for Jessi.  She made her stage debut as a ballerina munchkin in "The Wizard of Oz" put on by our local children's theatre.  It was a lot of hard work, but she had fun and can't wait for the next play.

Here Jessi poses with "Dorothy" and "Toto".
What a face!
The poodle skirts were back again this year.  Next year we're hoping to get pictures taken by Grandpa's purple hotrod!!!

Merry christmas and God's blessings from our family to yours!!!
Becky lost her top front tooth a few days after Thanksgiving.  She was surprised that the Tooth Fairy found her in the living room sleeping in her hospital bed!!
